The brochure shows why healthy sleep is one of the most important success factors for modern longevity hotel concepts – hygienic bed systems are increasingly receiving strategic relevance.
Longevity is developing from a lifestyle trend into a serious societal and economic future topic. It is no longer exclusively about anti-aging, dietary supplements or short-term health programs, but rather about scientifically founded prevention, sustainable health promotion and the question of how people can live healthier lives in the long term. Above all, sleep plays a central role in this development – with immediate implications for the entire hospitality industry.
Swiss premium manufacturer Swissfeel, specialized in sustainable and fully washable bed systems for the hotel industry, is now dedicating itself to this topic in a new expert brochure. The free guide illuminates why sleep is considered an essential component of modern longevity concepts, what role hygiene plays in this and why hotels will increasingly be required to credibly implement holistic health and sleep concepts.
For current insights from medicine, sleep research and health science show: sleep is not only an independent pillar of longevity research, but also influences other central areas such as mental health, regeneration, metabolism, performance and prevention. This makes the topic increasingly relevant for hotels that want to position themselves in the growing market around healthy hospitality, medical wellness and health-oriented guest experiences.
"The term longevity is currently being used somewhat excessively in many places. At its core, it is about far more than a short-term lifestyle hype. Above all, sleep is an elementary factor for long-term health. This is precisely where new opportunities are emerging for the hospitality industry. However, only if concepts are credible and holistic," explains Christian-Ulf Reschke, member of the management at Swissfeel.
The new brochure from Swissfeel shows, among other things, why hygienic sleeping environments are likely to come into focus in the future and what challenges this presents, particularly for the hospitality sector. For although hotels must meet high expectations in terms of sleep quality, the factor of bed hygiene is still often underestimated, despite increasing guest sensitivity to health, sustainability and hygienic standards.
Kai Rittmeier, lead engineer at Swissfeel, adds: "Sleep is the undisputed engine of our lives. If that doesn't run cleanly, our lives stutter too. That is why our goal is not only to offer the best sleep comfort, but also the cleanest. And that is exactly why we have developed the combination of washable mattresses and mattress washing systems."
Swissfeel has been involved with sustainable and fully washable bed systems for the hotel industry for many years and combines the topics of hygiene, circular economy, sleep comfort and longevity. The company sees particular potential in the interplay of healthy sleep and ecological product use as a central future area within hospitality.
"The topic of sleep and hygiene has become too socially relevant to leave to chance. That is why we want to share our knowledge and provide concrete guidance to hotels and all serious providers in the longevity sector," adds Christian Reschke.
